Hi, I’m Yirmiyahu (Yirmi) Gilbert.

I founded Moriel Design on a simple belief: architecture should be as smart as it is inspiring. The studio focuses on early-stage concept development, visioning, feasibility, and design strategy. I help organizations, communities, and developers turn ideas into clear, compelling, buildable visions.

Before starting Moriel Design, I spent years working across a wide range of project types and scales throughout Connecticut and New York, from large housing developments to adaptive reuse, cultural institutions, and everything in between. I hold a Master of Architecture from Columbia University and a BA in Environmental Studies from Oberlin College.
